My PC is nine years old and runs Windows Vista in the corner of my living room. My days are spent writing stories about the town I live in, telling people what their local government is up to or who was arrested the night before. I'm a 50-year-old grandmother of five and an award-winning journalist with a respectable job at a local newspaper. I'm none of those things, but for the last five years I've run a 100-plus member guild in Ultima Online, an MMO I've now been playing for nearly two decades. They're generally goofy and fit the outdated stereotype of a nerd-yelling at their computer screens, surrounded by two or three monitors and thousands of dollars of gaming equipment. In movies and cartoons, MMO guild masters, or GMs, are often depicted as a 30-year-old man with a neckbeard living in his mother's basement, living off Mountain Dew and Doritos. It wasn't the first time I'd talked a member of my guild down from the edge. Militia Treasurer: The Militia Treasurer’s Guild will automatically collect a percentage of Silver obtained from their guild throughout the dungeon. Militia Dungeon Master: The Dungeon Master will be able to place traps throughout the dungeon which will surly give them the upper hand while dominating their opponents. Militia Dungeon: Every Sunday at 6pm (Server time) a draw will pick where the next week’s Militia Dungeon is, who the next Dungeon master, and Dungeon Treasurer will be. Each time the season changes you will be able to redeem them for new rewards including exclusive hued wearables. There will be seasons with the silver, it will change every 6 months. Militia Silver: As an incentive for using Militia, you can visit the Militia Dungeon and will automatically be able to collect Militia Silver. Rune of Cunning: This Rune will enter your guild to be the next week’s Militia Dungeon Treasurer. Rune of Preparation: This Rune will enter your guild to be next week’s Militia Dungeon Master. Rune of Domination: This Rune will allow your guild to redeem 1 raffle ticket for choosing next week’s Militia Dungeon. Rune Rewards: Each Rune will provide different rewards, and there will be more Runes added over time. Sergeant of Arms: This is a new NPC which can be customized and will represent your guild, it can be summoned to a guild house of your choosing. They are locations of great power and natural lava flow which is great for working on ancient relics. Sanctums: There will be 4 sanctums located throughout the world. After 10 minutes undisturbed the Rune’s power will be released. After the Rune reaches the inner hall of the sanctum it will summon a Guild’s Sergeant of Arms, which will begin attempting release the power from within the Rune. A Rune will be able to be picked up and carried to a Guild’s Sanctum. Runes will spawn in dungeons around the world every 4-6 hours. Here is a quick breakdown for Militia Ascensions as it currently stands: Though things are still in flux and subject to change. We will be adding tons of new content and incentives for the Militia System. In this teaser trailer you'll get a sneak peak at two new random dungeon adventures, a new dungeon, a new dungeon level with champion boss all with new monster animations, new clothing and decorations as well as Militia Ascension. Thousands of new items(decorative etc.) and clothing which will be used for crafting, rare drops, perks, and unique quest loot rewards for new systems. The expansion will feature a boat-load of new content, hundreds of new animations including monsters, animals and more. We are excited to set a concrete date for the release of Ultima Online Forever: Rising.Īlthough we mentioned December, we decided it would be rather awesome to release it live on our 9th year anniversary which is January 18th, 2022.
